Electrotherapy is the remodel of a multi-generational beach house in Newport Beach, CA. We reconfigured the primary suite for more flexible, seasonal use. The open-plan primary closet was no longer essential and was converted into a new bathroom. The former primary bathroom was transformed into a dedicated dressing room.
Inspired by the coastal architecture of Sea Ranch, the design features natural wood finishes, neutral tones, and durable materials suited to the oceanfront environment. The primary shower is brought to life with tile art by Sara Bright, and a new entry gate with a stained glass panel by artist Debbie Bean adds nods to the hand crafted elements of Sea Ranch.
